Please watch some of the video tutorials at to learn e.g. Even reordering colors is out unless you have a really good understanding of the color names in the pattern ( you know how embroidery files go - peacock blue could be grey or could be purple!) because it doesn’t highlight the stitches when you tap a color. And if you want to select something that’s not in a box or a continuous stitch it ain’t gonna happen. Maybe if you have a simple design it’s not bad but if you’re looking at an in the hoop design good luck figuring out which layer you’re on. Changing colors in general is very difficult because it’s hard to see exactly which stitches you’re changing. If you can change colors of portions of it without changing the rest I can’t figure it out (for example changing a solid colored word PRIDE to individual letters being different colors). I hope I could clarify things a little.Make sure you carefully read the description! The reviews seem to indicate a usability that does NOT exist. Although I'm more than happy to answer your questions here, you can always reach me by email at (this contact email and much more information - including some video tutorials - is published at StitchBuddy's website). I'm sorry StitchBuddy is actually taking so much room in this forum. IAP allows me to offer the same app as a free (limited) trial and a full version without the need to handle license keys, different app versions etc. It is often used in "freemium" games for new levels, more powerful characters etc. The pricing policy is pretty much the same: A free app for organizing designs and for testing editing functions of small designs, and an "In-App Purchase" to modify larger designs for USD 50.Īn "In-App-Purchase" (IAP) is a way to unlock additional features instantly and directly from the app, charging the user's Apple ID. It offers some more advanced functions like stitch simulator, batch conversion. StitchBuddy for Mac runs on Apple computers with macOS.In the past there was a free viewing app (StitchBuddy View), which I discontinued since mid of May. Modifying larger designs can be unlocked by "In-App Purchase" for USD 10 (this feature is automatically provided for former customers of StitchBuddy HD). It is a free app for viewing / printing / sharing designs and for testing editing functions of small files (max. StitchBuddy HD runs on iPhones and iPads. There are two versions of StitchBuddy, one in the iOS App Store and one in the Mac App Store (for some reasons Apple decided to run two different stores depending on the operating system): Not being a native speaker I might have complicated things unnecessarily with my explanations. When I search the ap store I don’t see a $50 version. On Sat, at 01:49 pm, B Diane Landon wrote: I’m confused. Anyway, my wife uses colors on her Mac only to get an impression of a design, and picks threads from her collection without relying too much on a program's suggestion: These are often ways off and I wouldn't overestimate them. but that will take a while as StitchBuddy takes a summer bread. If you're able to provide this list I could incorporate your Superior brand in the next release. I can include additional thread charts, but only if anybody can provide me the following information: Chart name (the brand), and per color the color's name (if any), its number, and (most important) the color itself as an RGB triplet: It consists of three numbers representing the amount of red, green, and blue, and is basically representing how a color is displayed. If there's a reason they won't be acknowleged, I'd need to change my collection pattern & at substantial financial loss! Good grief! What a thought! Their reputation remains high as far as I've read & I wonder why they aren't included & hope their addition will be soon. Collecting has been ongoing for at least 4-5 years so my commitment is strong to the brand & isn't likely to change.
